On this day 105 years ago, Belarusian Democratic Republic was proclaimed independent. Belarusians’ first attempt at independence, it was crushed by Russians. Nowadays, March 25 is Freedom Day, an unofficial national holiday to celebrate BDR and Belarusian struggle for democracy in general

  1. Belarus has a lot of talented computer scientists. They could have had a good future in the EU and become an IT hub like Estonia with the highest GDP/c in all of former Soviet Union, it is unfortunate that a nation’s entire potential is being squandered by literally the will of two men in power.

  2. First attempt at independance… Only as a German pupet state.
Belarusian CP liberated Belarussia from German puppets and Nationalists.
Today, those Nationalists took over and sold out to Proto-Fascist state of Russia while one part wants to sell out to USA.
    All thanks to Gorby.
