>Another WhatsApp message asked correspondents to “turn up the scepticism a bit” towards Labour after a complaint from Downing Street that the corporation was not reflecting the “mess” of the opposition’s call for plan B Covid measures.
>Burley said the messages were “very troubling evidence of the way that BBC executives operate in relation to government and how they put pressure on journalists to reflect the No 10 line”.
>“This goes to the heart of it and needs investigation,” he added.
>He said the “most troubling aspect of this is that these messages suggest that the political news team were not just made aware of Downing Street’s view but encouraged to reflect it as the BBC view … That’s pretty scandalous”.
All week, we have been told that the BBC is *impartial,* and anyone who points out the obvious bias is wrong.
Smoking gun?
The BBC is the PR department of the Tory party. My grandad told me this 30 years ago.

The government will agree to this but appoint a team of their friends to oversee the investigation. Either they will conveniently find nothing wrong, or they will find something wrong but make no changes to prevent such problems from happening again.
Gibb, sharp and davie run the bbc news…all are fully paid up tories. One even arranged a loan to get the job, the others have stood for the party.
Maitlis hinted at this years ago. Stories had to be changed to suit an agenda. It’s really sad you can’t trust the bbc as they report propaganda rather than actual news
Look ok, you need to understand three things…
1. Obviously you’re upset about Tories influencing the BBC, and I can tell you now that out tory overlords are also very upset at getting found out that they’re manipulating the BBC, so that means there is a balance and therefore the BBC is perfectly impartial.
2. Reddit isn’t really representative on the UK population, so you can pretty much disregard every point anyone has on here.
3. BRITISH VALUES! Don’t you realise there is a war on! Also watch out for transgenders! I was stuck behind a bloody cyclist yesterday! Wokerati!
Once you understand that you’ll see that this is all quite normal and you should carry right on.
Problem is, you get rid of the tories in the key bbc positions, the government will just put new tories in. And if for any reason they cant, theyll do whatever they can to weaken the bbc.
The only way for a non tory bbc to survive is pray for a change of government
