Hopefully the US will soon have a similar deal with Poland and/or the Baltic states for a similar deal.
Yeh.
Doesn’t change anything.
They’ll come handy in justifying the invasion if Belarusians manage to get rid of Lukashenko or oppose annexation/federalisation with Russia.

This coming just days after the meeting with Xi makes me nervous. I remember months ago when China said that using nuclear weapons would be a disaster and that they would be against it. Have they changed their mind?
I think this is more a flex of Russia on Belarus than anything else. Putin is slowly (and at the same time quickly) annexing Belarus. And Lukashenko is impotent because fool that he is, he’s desperate to remain the leader even if his position is becoming more and more token with each passing day.
He has surrendered almost all of Belarus’s sovereignty to a man, Putin, who will continue by inches and miles to take more and more. He’s an imbecile.
I don’t think this is solely about projecting power with the nukes. I think Putin wants to provoke a conventional strike on Belarus by Nato or Ukraine to drag Belarus into the war with him.
He said they will deploy nuclear capable airplanes which changes nothing because there are already nuclear capable airplanes in Belarus… Clickbait bullshit
Someone’s giving away his missiles don’t go that far.
Do they work just as well as the rest of their tactics?
Sure, sure. Maybe some wooden and cardboard mock-ups may be.
Russia tries too hard to alienate every single Slavic nation to hate them to the core still
There are nukes in KALININGRAD at the moment. So what’s new?
This is maybe a extra layer of protection for Belarus? So someone doesnt come to idea to invade them? Other than that nothing special. It is tactical nukes, not strategic one.
This looks to me like an act of desperation. He got nothing out of China , so needs to do some “another” nuclear posturing .
They have nukes in Kaliningrad. Really doesn’t change the status quo much. Political theater on Putin’s part.
They really really want to play the nuclear blackmail card.
How pathetic, the mighty Russian army.
