In recent years there has been a rise in newly built structures and places of worship for European autochthonous (pagan) religions

  1. I doubt that there is anything “autochthonous” about these. It’s all New Age shit imported from the USA or the UK, or born from nationalism (sometimes very extreme nationalism).

  2. I have a special interest in amulets pertaining okd religious symbols and I was sad when I found out there were warning against people wearing such symbols since they were probably affiliatated with certain political organizations. Hopefully this will change stigma around these symbols.

  3. We’re not “back,” we never left. That being said, good to see new places – and sad to see christians still doing their best to persecute everyone while trying to pose as victims. Nihil novi sub sole.

  4. There are three spots in Eastern Germany. Only two are listed in the document. One is a state owned open air archeological museum of a former Slavic settlement, the other one is a recently discovered and rebuild “woodhenge” by the local tourist board.
So hardly the religious pagan revival some of the fellow commentors make it out to be.

  5. People want a sense of meaning and belonging in their life, and sadly secular society leaves little to provide it when social cohesion is at an all time low. This is also a contributing factor for the growth of islam and other imported religions.

  6. Now that is just silly. But whatever, if it makes them happy.

And “vandalized”? Leave the pagans alone! 😠

  7. There’s a real rise in Abkhazia.

Our last Chechen pagan died a decade ago. It doubt it bounces back… What we have is Sufi syncretism

  8. The Dutch spot is in Archeon. A museum about prehistoric times, roman era and middle ages. It is a nice park outside where you can experience history with actors.

The ‘worship’ they do as a show at the temple of Nehalennia is educational but also very funny. Not religious at all.

  9. they’re silly made up believe with no connection or tradition to actual european pagan religions because all of their ancestors willingly converted to Christianity at some point lmao. so now they LARP with 90% of them not even genuinely believing in the “rituals” they partake in
