No BBC. No Guardian. None. Only local papers and Pink News. Says everything about those who are running this country’s news media and how they are politically aligned against trans people.
They printed just shy of 25,000 articles about trans people between 2009-2019 mostly negative. The Daily Mail published 115 in Jan 2023 alone.
Do we know what sentences the murderers got yet? Hopefully long ones.

There’s no greater tragedy than children dying before they get chance to live their lives. Poor girl.
This really upset me and now all I feel is anger. Anger at all the people who tell us they have our backs and leave us to fight this campaign of hatred alone. We’ve been saying this for five years and no one cares. You all just tell yourselves you support us and do nothing, just so you can feel better about looking the other way. We March alone to stop this from happening and then you want to grieve with us.
We are so tired as a community and Brianna isn’t the first loss and she won’t be the last. But I just want to say that this is on those who call themselves allies because they say ‘yass queen’ and watch ru Paul whilst doing fuck all to help us. Fuck all when life saving health care was taken away from Brianna. Fuck all in the Keira bell case, fuck all when Kathleen stock was on every media outlet completely unchallenged, fuck all when the bbc banned it’s staff from attending pride so they wouldn’t be seen to support ‘the transgender problem.’ Fuck all when we have to wait seven years for healthcare, fuck all when every politician every single day shits on our community and uses our lives to show they’re not too woke so they can get votes from bigots. And absolutely fuck all when one of us is murdered and we hold vigils up and down the country and none of you turned up to show the smallest amount of support.
Tell us how sad this, change your profile picture and then forget about it next week because you have that luxury.

We had “it’s a tragic killing of a girl” to “she’s trans and half of us are going to downplay her being a girl now, but also it definitely wasn’t a hate crime”, to “ok it *might* have been a hate crime but we can’t be sure” to … silence
So *was* it a hate crime? Are all the people who tried to accuse trans people of hysteria or “politicising” her death, going to acknowledge that if it was? Etc.
