Now that many people complain about it, politicians will say they’ll change it but it will take time.
Next they’ll do just nothing untill the time changes once again in autumn and this BS starts all over again.
The problem is that it’s only twice a year. If it were every month, people would be more accustomed to it.
I read that California voted to get rid of theirs so this year was the last time for them. Would voters in Belgium not support this?
Was dat niet drie jaar geleden dat alle lidstaten in de EU twee jaar de tijd kregen om onderling af te spreken en een definitieve keuze te maken? Of is het al vier jaar geleden?
Can you please stop being a bitch about this, jesus christ.
This night is brutal, but there’s a reason daylight saving time was invented. In permanent summer time, it would only be light at 10:00 in the darkest of winter. In permanent winter time, it would in summer be light at 04:00 already, but every night you’re losing an hour. By changing the time, the light is better adjusted to times we actually need it.
My autistic ass can’t stop looking at the clock and thinking: ‘this isn’t right, this isn’t right, it can’t be that late already’. So don’t think that just because it doesn’t affect you, it doesn’t affect anyone.
Djeezes why is everyone so pissed? Do you all sleep on perfect sleeping schedules or something?
I am so happy with daylight savings time. This is the start of me getting home when the sun is still shining, it so good for my mental health.
It’s great that I can ride my bike without it getting dark after half an hour.
Djeezes it’s one hour sleep, you guys never stick around your tv or netflix accidentally a bit too long?
Changing the clocks twice a year is just a minor inconvenience for having daylight when it matters most.
With permanent summer time I don’t want the sun to come up at 10 in winter.
With permanent winter time I don’t want the sun to come up at 4 in summer.
Now stop bitching about how this minor inconvenience ruined your day.
Sounds like politicians came up with this term daylight “saving” time.
Takes an hour of light away from the morning, gives an hour of light to the evening, we did it! We saved you an hour of light!
I need light to wake up in the morning. I don’t need even more insomnia.
I hope never. Always the same talking points Jesus Christ it’s so tired. I LOVE summer time, those hours of sunlight after work are precious, but a permanent switch would suck during winter. DST is literally the best of two worlds.
I’ll take Sunset at 8 over a wonky Sunday.
Really i would want to have it always later sunset. I wake up before the sun in the winter anyway, so an extra hour of dark in the morning would barely affect me
The real yearly (well, twice a year) bullshit is not the changing of the clocks but people with imaginary problems incessantly bitching about it. It’s only one hour. On a weekend. If your sleeping schedule is really that tight, even on weekends, you’re either weird or a liar anyway.
^(Edit: grammar)
I was trying to catch up on sleep this weekend after a week with some very short nights. I am not okay rn
Literally nothing wrong with it.
Only thing we should change is to align our switching with the US. They have 4 weeks less of “winter” time, and we are dragging it for longer than is necessary.
Let’s make it permanent to UTC+1,5. Fck the rest, we are free souls. Lol!
The biggest problem isn’t the shift, but the fact society sticks to 9-to-5.
If, for example, work and school an stuff started at x time past sunrise, that would be closet to our natural rhythmm
I’m not gonna act like I know a realistic or feasible way to shift to that, though.
As it still isn’t common knowledge. Here’s some mandatory viewing for the summer time is great crowd.
Imagine being so out of whack for an hour of change on a Sunday. You should see my work schedule.
I love switching!
I mean: I switch every 6 days: instead of getting up at 7:00, at Sat and Sunday I sleep one hour extra until 8:00, or even 9:00. Then I switch back on Monday morning…
When my kids where younger, I switched 4 hours up and down every couple of days! Getting up at 4:00, next day at 8:00, next day at 6:00, and so on.
So to all the LITTLE BITCHES that cry because they can’t handle changing TWICE per year: get a life.
I actually think daylight saving time is a good compromise in order to have the same time zone all over Europe. It’s a big plus for economics that the we have the same timezone stretching from the west of Spain to the east of Poland.
On the argument that it f*cks with your biosystem – don’t you guys never cross time-zones? Well, in the EU without DST there will more time zones. So when going on holidays, you will very probably have the same sleep deprivation.
Same for the proven higher risk on car accidents after DST. People are frequently crossing borders all over Europe. In the EU without DST there will be people on the road with sleep deprivation all year round. Think truck drivers, people on holidays, … I don’t believe abolishing DST will result in net less accidents.
I like the change, long sunny evenings are good
Dumb ways to die ♫
politicians hate us
Uur langer licht s avonds is toch goed?
All these people who have such good sleep. For those who generally have sleeping problems, like me, it feels half of the nights like switching between summer/winter time.
