Act? Like ask more Hong Kongers to migrate to the UK? I think I read that a majority didn’t even take up that offer. Like barely any left to move to the UK.
There is absolutely nothing the UK can do right now. UK is out of the EU, any move against China will only hurt itself. It could of course write some strongly worded letters and have a bumbling bafoon who can’t even get a proper haircut read out statements intent on strong action. That’s about all it can do am afraid.
Unfortunately Hong Kong is gone. I’m glad I didn’t spend the time and money getting licensed to practice law there like I originally planned. We need to focus on preventing China from invading Taiwan and turning it into an authoritarian shit hole like it has done in Hong Kong
There is nothing Britain can do. China will just ignore Britain.
