  1. It’s been a year since I lived the best year of my life in Vilnius. I miss it more than I could express into words and cannot wait to go back, I’m in love with this city

  2. Is that the place with teapots in the walls on the left?

Oh no, it’s not, its the road by the side of the Craftsmen Pub. The last time I was in there they did very good steaks.

  3. There is a very interesting story about that red brick building on the right.

It was actually a former orthodox church built somewhere around the beginning of 1500s. It was built in a very unique style, a mix of Brick Gothic and Byzantine style. This phenomenon is only found in former Grand Duchy territories (mainly modern Lithuania and Belarus), due to cultural clash of many neigbouring influences, perhaps especially of Holy Roman Empire, Poland, Livonia, Kievan Rus and Byzantium. There are a few other orthodox churches like this in Vilnius, including the Cathedral of Theotokos (mid 1300s) near Užupis.

However, this particular church caught fire multiple times in the 1600s and 1700s, and eventually fell into disrepair. In the late 1700s somebody decided to turn this into a three story house with multiple apartments.
