  1. I felt uncomfortable when I visited the antiquarium and saw people who died agonizing from a natural disaster only for tourists to contemplate their misfortune. It’s extremely interesting to see a roman city preserved but the victims shouldn’t be exposed for the world to see, having tourists making tasteless and gnarly remarks about their demise.

  2. Pompeii is one of the most interesting places in this world. 2000 years ago, one of the most developed cities of its time was turned into ash by a volcanic eruption, and these images remain today.

  3. I wonder why there’s no clothes on her bottom? Her dress rolled up or what? It’s oddly convenient for exhibition purposes that she’s having nice, uncoverd bum bum.

  4. Most of the people escaped the disaster. As it gave off warning signs before it blew up. This girl was a slave… apparently based on the wide belt she was wearing when she died. And likely why she didn’t escape. The ash that buried her turned into pumice over time and then when the body decomposed left the void they used to fill w plaster. Per a recent tour guides explanation.
