Labour urges outright ban on ‘voluntary’ school contributions

  1. How about removing subsidies to private schools? Am sure that’d go down well with the remnants of Labours membership and support in Soco Dublin

  2. Jasis Holly Cairns must have really rattled labour. With this, their motion of no confidence and Ivannas new cannibis at concerts proposal I can’t remember the last time I heard them make so much noise in such a short time frame.

  3. Would be great but would need the government to fully fund keeping the lights on in schools. Odd that he didn’t mention that. I generally like Labour but calling out contribution fees without mentioning funding is implying schools are asking for money they don’t need. It’s ignoring the bigger picture, which is a bad sign of someone who wants to be minister for education.

(And yes, Norma did the same thing last year)
