  1. I can’t imagine living in a country this prude. Good on the museum for the offer, correcting ignorance can only be a good thing.

  2. The US has the uncanny ability to be one of the most liberal countries in the world on sexual morality and one of the most puritanical at the same time.

  3. And once again the US shows how divided, bigoted, uncultured, prudish they while still sexualizing everything … How stupid is that !? No surprise their sex ed is so bad and they are the #1 among developed countries in terms of STDs / teen pregnancies and so on … Get your shit together. This is ridiculous

  4. Prudishnes and hypersexualization are just two sides of the same coin. You are not able to perceive the human body as anything other then sexual.

  5. I give Florida about a year until they ban teachers outright, reasoning that presenting human bodies in the classroom is “pornographic”.

  6. To define Renaissance art as pornography implies a profound basic ignorance. And knowing where it happened, I’m not in the least surprised…

  7. I was very dirty minded as a teen but I have never see the works of the great artists like Bernini as pornographic. It‘s usually the more modern stuff that provokes such implications (‚look, this part here looks like a penis, lol‘).
