Just head to r/azerbaijan open any thread and see them blame Armenians for EVERYTHING. From scoring bad in the freedom index to having corrupt elections to Nizami being an Iranian poet.
Azerbaijan does not want an alternative, they don’t want a better future for their offspring. It seems to they food off of the hate spread by their dictator and it is enough for them. Or the entire sub is paid to post hate comments but idk
That’s how their dictator keeps power….sooo. Almost by definition the war won’t end until Azerbaijan is no longer a dictatorship where votes are driven by anti Armenian hate.
The author Samadov’s tweet a few minutes ago:

They need a nationalist militarism or the country will fall apart.
sure would help if ~certain countries weren’t so thirsty for their fossil fuels and willing to fund that government

TBH, if Azerbaijan really took the path of becoming a real democracy with human rights at its core, I doubt there’d be NK conflict. Have a look at Armenians living in other countries, at indigenous Armenians living in Georgia… Armenians are also human beings that want to be treated as normal human beings, not as targets of a government that feeds its people with radical ideas and racism.
