Putin prepares Russia for ‘forever war’ with west as Ukraine invasion stalls | Russia

  1. How can Russia economically sustain a “forever” war. Putin must really be betting on China propping them up, but even China’s economic support won’t be enough.

  2. Paradoxically its the forever war that threatens Russias survival. They would be much better off if they lose/retreat tomorrow, anything to get off the death spiral (economical, demographical, etc).

The mad butcher on the other hand cares only about not “losing face”…

  3. As long as there are countries buying russian oil then this war could take decades
As for ukraine, how long will other countries continue its support?

  4. >”Do you believe with the Führer and us in the final total victory of the German people? Are you and the German people willing to work, if the Führer orders, 10, 12 and if necessary 14 hours a day and to give everything for victory? Do you want total war? If necessary, do you want a war more total and radical than anything that we can even imagine today?”

Joseph Goebbels. We all know how that turned out.

  5. Hopefully the current stagnantion of the war will break soon-ish as well as whatever hopes this madman has left.

  6. Insert Goebbels ‘total war’ clip

Russia gearing up to lose it all

Wonder what it’ll take to shake the Russian general populace out of their quiet acceptance of the war

  7. The day will come when we all say about him –

“Alone in the morgue, yesterday’s dictator, and now just a dead old man”

  8. This war will essentially send russia economically back to the stone age. With depleted military and crashing economy, they will feel the effects of this war for decades to come. Good riddance though, fuck them!

  9. He is banking it all on his republican friends taking over the show and giving him a sweet deal. I hope Ukraine can secure all their territory before then.

  10. As much as he’s copying Hitler, I suspect an equally long definition of forever.

The way russia is neutered by Ukraine now will save countless lives of wars not fought in the future.

  11. The arrogance. If they were at war with the west, the front line won’t be in Ukraine, it would be at the outskirts of Moscow.

  12. > One evening in late December, as ***Muscovites*** strolled along their city’s brightly lit streets in anticipation of the end-of-year celebrations, a group of old friends gathered for dinner at the flat of a senior state official.

Finally the term used in a proper context. Somebody tried to push the trend of calling all Russian – Muscovites which is not even offensive to begin with… many Russians dream to become Muscovites considering the income disparity with the rest of the country.

  13. Literally “Do you want total war?”.

Amazingly enough it will be bcz of that mentality that can actually threaten Russia’s survival

    >Forever war

Oh… So 1 month from now?

  14. > Putin has practically stopped talking about any concrete aims of the war. He proposes no vision of what a future victory might look like either

    This is Putin accepting defeat.

Everything else is internal propaganda. He knows there’s no “forever war” any country can sustain. He now wants to go back to a Cold War scenario, but that’s not going to happen.

  15. Then let’s help Ukraine win the war, with weapons.

And at the same time sanction the shit of Russia.

I’m really tired of their bullshit tough guy attitude when their people rape, maim, torture and kill innocent people in an European country!

Why are European banks and companies still operating in Russia?

    When it’s enough is enough?
