  1. Good news this morning. Best case scenario reached, use of metadata was unlawful but more than sufficient evidence that was procured without the use of that metadata.

  2. Thank fuck for that. I can’t imagine the pain his release on a technicality would have caused to the family of Elaine O’Hara. Rest in peace.

  3. He’ll now bring this to the Supreme Court.

And he’s awaiting appeals on other grounds too, I think.

Can’t see this being the end of it.

  4. Good. Getting off on a technicality would have been terrible for the victim’s family and friends.

  5. Yes he f*cking brutally butchered a woman to death.

If they let him off on a technicality it would’ve been a colossal press scandal.

Hope he rots in there the murderous pervert.

  6. Delighted for the mulletty prick, may he rot in there…

“Dwyer, who was also in court for the appeal in December, interrupted the submissions twice, denying he sent the texts, and telling his solicitor he could not “listen to this”.”

Sounds like he’s raging, lovely stuff…

  7. Great news. The man is dangerous and should never be allowed walk free if possible. Paul Williams’ book on the case is a must read, he was almost certainly going to kill again and it was very lucky that he was caught at all.

  8. Read Paul Williams book about the case. I knew he was rotten and sick but he’s far far worse than even those words can describe. Had to skip some of the chapters that quoted the fantasies he wrote and the videos he made they were so depraved to the point that they were upsetting. God love the Jury who sat for that case.

  9. Who pays for these trips to higher courts ? Are the payments in any way limited ? I know he is in jail so therefore no income but does he start the process of appeal looking for a barrister or does a barrister see a payday incoming and looks for someone in jail that fits the bill ?

  10. Very relieved to see this. He obviously did it and the thought of him getting off on a technicality was sickening.

  11. Justice!

Mad that the only thing keeping him off the streets was a heatwave that brought down the water level in a reservoir. Without that evidence he’d be walking around free as a bird.

  12. Casefile podcast had a good episode on this piece of shit. I recommend everyone check it out.

Arsehole deserves a terrible lot worse than he’s getting.

  13. Good news!

I wonder how long he’s going to serve for this ‘life’ sentence. I would imagine he’s still going to be a serious danger to women even as an old man.

  14. I am glad that they clamped down to protect our privacy.

I’m fucking delighted that it does not mean that a monster gets out. Great that the other evidence was weighted enough to get a conviction

  15. I know he did it, but I thought he had a good chance of getting the rolling in his favour.
