  1. > The terrorism threat level in Northern Ireland has been raised.

    > The move, based on a Security Service (MI5) intelligence assessment, follows a rise in dissident republican activity, including a gun attack last month on a senior police officer.

    > It sees the threat level raised from substantial to severe, meaning the risk of attack or attacks has gone from “likely” to “very likely”.

    > It was announced by Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris.

  2. Unfortunately, Northern Ireland is a powder keg. It’s a shame the EU & Ireland have taken the approach of weaponising this against the UK, seen with their hardline stance regarding the Northern Ireland protocol.

  3. Sparsely mentioning all of the barely concealed threats of violence by loyalist paramilitaries since the NI Protocol became a thing.

    Never change, BBC.

  4. Why didn’t the English start to arrest and jail IRA supporters immediately after the peace period began?

  5. When Sinn Fein, the political arm of the IRA are voted for by so many Irish, it’s hardly surprising the IRA are emboldened to start their murdering shit again.

  6. Ukraine: We have an actual war going on.

Northern Ireland: So jealous of all the spotlight Eastern Europe is getting, let’s start shooting each others among ourselves again, maybe senpai will notice us.
