Or:
“Benefits bill to be slashed, forcing people into work or into deeper crisis”.
It’s a slippery slope for sure with disabled people. There’s going to be conditions where you can work one day and not another. Will they be penalised for this? If the benefits stay as sort of a UBI I can see it boosting people in work.
I’m perfectly willing to work- would prefer it in fact- but finding a job that allows for the storms and boom and bust of bipolar disorder seems impossible. If you declare it on application you don’t get any further; if you do get a job, they sack you at the first sign of trouble.
Maybe we shouldn’t be forcing sick, depressed and elderly people into work.
How about fund some fucking research into post viral illnesses like Long Covid and CFS instead? Some people WANT to work but can’t…
It’s almost definitely going to be ‘pay them £3 an hour’ isn’t it?
This isn’t going to end well for a LOT of innocent sick people. God I hate these fascist pricks so, so much.
If one we had a system that allowed foreign workers to easily work in the UK instead of forcing alot of them to leave.
People voted Brexit because “foreigners are stealing our jobs”. Now we dont have enough workers
Is this just a thinly disguised plan to cut payments to the over 50’s ?
Carrots for Tory voters and sticks for Labour voters
