South Africa has a new problem: it is a ratified signatory to the ICC and the BRICS nations are scheduled to meet there in August.
If Putin attends, he is supposed to be arrested, but the South Africans failed to arrest Sudan’s despot, al-Bashir when he visited South Africa. It was Sudan’s own government who finally handed him over to the ICC.
My guess is that SA will either leave the ICC by then or simply ignore the warrant. There is no way they will arrest Putin.
Point being that the ICC warrant is toothless.
He should go visit his Italian home, and report to the inmigración authority. They have a reservation list with his name 🌝🌝🌝😂
