The size of the logos could indicate the popularity of the parties. And a second chart placing the parties on the classic compass would help,
Turkish Gandhi for the win
Hm interesting.
Well chp for me then but I’m not Turkish
I don’t agree with this kind of graphics. Besides, the parties don’t have such sharp ideas. Except for a few, of course.
How much foreign and security policy can you develop that is very different from the ideas of the military and intelligence?
The only man who can do this now resides in the Palace. Erdoğan did not become an autocrat in a day. How could US foreign policy differ from the thinking of the Pentagon or the Cia?
I don’t think Chp is that much Pro Eu or Pro Nato. Of course, they advocate close relations with the EU, many times more than Erdogan. They are much closer ideologically, but not at this level.
There are always 2 wings in the chp. One is the Kemalist wing, which has weakened considerably, and the other is the more social democratic, less nationalist wing called Y-chp, which is close to the socialists. Both will take a more balanced position. Right now, when I see the word eu membership, I just laugh. This reminds me of politicians playing a simple theater in the 90s and early 2000s. You can read the articles and interviews written by retired bureaucrats who have made Turkey’s EU representative. You will see how both sides play a drama without any will. Uluç Özülker may was one of the best diplomats on this subject. According to him, of all the prime ministers and presidents who have been in politics in Turkey since the 70s, except Süleyman Demirel didn’t truly believed in the membership of the Eu.Others did not believe that this would happen anyway. EU members also said that most countries don’t want it anyway and that they are playing a fake theatre. There is no politician, diplomat and bureaucrat who believes that Turkey will never be a member of the EU, neither in Turkey nor in the EU. Please let’s stop the clichés.
Do not be surprised when you see the economic statements of Chp 2 days later, like 2 years ago, at the level of fuck the mother of neoliberalism, or do not be surprised if they make a billion-dollar deal with China. China communist party had dialogue with both akp and chp for long time. Even Russia has been in contact with both the akp and chp for years. The chp called Pro Nato used to be more friendly to Russia than anyone else.
The strange thing is that the 2 parties Akp and Mhp (Erdoğan and his alliance) which may have been the most pro Nato in the Cold War, are seen as the toughest anti-Nato today. The world has changed, of course.
Kılıçdaroğlu gave an interview that was also published in the Russian media recently. He said that Russia’s occupation of Ukraine was unfair, problems should be resolved through dialogue and many partnerships could be made with Russia. In short, he said things somewhat similar to Erdogan’s statements.
I mean, if you look at the history of Turkey trying to be a part of EU, I can fully understand people are sceptical about it and if it makes any sense after all.
And this is not about Erdogan, this teasing of Turkey with EU was already many decades before him.
Same story with NATO, look how US is treating their most important partner in the region, no wonder some people are a bit tired of shit. And Erdogan, even being an absolute asshole, knows about this mood and will use it completely.
Go CHP!
If erdogan win again one more time,Turkish republic will be fell and new islamic state will be established with middle eastern-islamic mind. This sellection is turning point for secular-Kemalist Turkish people.
The person who made this compass doesn’t know how they work? CHP so much lower left considering they are a statist party?
I doubt that this is fair characterization of the CHP. They’ve historically been weary of foreign entanglements, including NATO. I don’t think this attitude has changed substantially whatever their public proclamations might be. If they get the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (and it looks like they will if KK wins) a lot of people here may be surprised after the first couple years.
If nothing else, I’d rank Deva/Babacan and İYİP way above the CHP on this front.
As for the EU I’d say the same principle holds, just to a lesser degree.
They’re all Bozkurts
For the look in the logos, the left is in sceptic side?
Why is Sadeet/Tip on the opposition side? It kinda looks like they belong with Erdogans bunch better?
Half of it is wrong wtf werw you thinking when you made this post?
