Why has she singled out the Ceann Comhairle, the ONE member of the Dáil that can’t legally take part in debates, and generally doesn’t even have a vote (except if there’s a tie – and even then, accepted convention is that they vote *against* the motion)?
And I’m sure the parents of said child will say; *”No bother!”* to you using their child in a political PR stunt.

I’d send anyone that’s homeless to the Dáil as that’s the best place for them.
She’d be voting with FG in this issue if her cards fell differently a few years back. She’s an opportunistic hate-monger who doesn’t give a shite about Ireland’s vulnerable classes.
Seeing this woman say this knowing her attitude towards migrants and their children coming into Ireland, I feel no satisfaction seeing her in the Dáil.

Forgive me. Is she saying that one of the reasons that these plans are not being built is because there is no market for highly dense residential accommodation and hence they are not viable? Surely there are enough people in Ireland right now who need ANY home so they wouldn’t be so picky as not want to buy or rent a place based on how many others are around them?
I may have completely misunderstood her point.

She is balls, someone paid her. Low density housing will not solve our problem just line the pockets of developers.
What is needs is high density neighborhoods, bright pit hood has access to shops, public transport, school or be close enough, public facilities like parks, and other facilities.
If we jsut buy hoses what will happen is that they not rich will be able to afford or just poor people. Like it or not what’s healthy for society is the mixture.
We can build low density but it shouldn’t be done right now, because we don’t have houses to begin. A terrace of four single family houses if replaced by a flat block can house up to 4 times as much, the back garden area now can become an unlicensed garden space.
This solution has issues, but other EU countries have figured it out to a point, we should learn how they solved high density and apply what will work.
There will be other issues, but there’s always going to be issues
Verona would be voting for the eviction ban if FG hadn’t dropped her for her thick, racist remarks before the election.
