Did you buy that somewhere as a supposed antique? If so, I’m sorry, but unless the writer had the most regular handwriting I have seen in my life, that is not genuine. When you compare individual letters, you can see it’s a font.
ETA: Germans don’t write “6 Dec”. And back then, it wouldn’t have been “dass”, but “daß” (although that can be idiosyncratic spelling).
More ETA: Also, you can’t get ink to stay *that* smooth in colour and shape, and after almost 80 years there would be some change too.
Just for completeness’ sake – a translation. Parts of it make no sense whatsoever. The comma usage is non-standard, and I tried to copy it.

Violet, I hope you are well, it has been a while since I’ve written to you. The bombs are getting louder with every day, I don’t feel safe here any more. I am unsure whether it’s Albert behind all that or whether mankind is simply done with his help [absolutely no sense unless she’s suffering from some kind of paranoid delusions].
I’m sure he is exalted – whatever the case, I have decided to leave this place and move to America. [This makes absolutely no sense either. At this point in time, AFAIK the only places that were being bombed were held by Germany. Germans couldn’t move to America because, well, obviously not. And the occupied population couldn’t get out either.]
I will miss the Wurstkuschl [literally “sausagesnuggl” – “Wurstkuchl”, “little sausage kitchen”, is a place in Regensburg] more than anything, but perhaps it’s time that I open a bookshop. I always spoke about that.
I hope that after all these years you haven’t forgotten Thomas, I, still, hope that he can be saved. If you contact the others, let them know where they can find me.
