So I wanted to open up a Kleinanzeigen account and followed the usual procedures.
Went to their website, filled the registration forms and then it stated that it had sent a confirmation email. Naturally, I checked the inbox of the e-mail I had provided them. Nothing. This went on for a few hours and still nothing. Checked spam, trash, even all the other e-mail accounts, just to be thorough. Still nothing.
So I, perhaps wrongly, tried to register again, and again it was successful. I just needed to wait for the confirmation e-mail. More hours passed by and still no e-mail. I left it at that for the day and let a couple of days pass.

As after a couple of days I still had not received anything, I once more tried to register to see if the confirmation e-mail would trigger. This time it did, first try! I got the e-mail and clicked the link to confirm the account, to which it successfully showed me it was registered and that I could now login.
I entered my credentials and as I clicked to login, there was an orange warning at the top of the fields stating that my account had been restricted.
Naturally, I sent their support a message. I tried translating it to German via DeepL to maybe make the process a little better.I sent the following:
**” Ich konnte mein Konto schließlich registrieren, und als ich versuchte, mich unmittelbar nach der Bestätigung meiner E-Mail anzumelden, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass das Konto gesperrt worden sei.”**
If this is incorrectly translated, what I wanted to say was ” I was finally able to register my account and when I tried to log in immediately after confirming my email, I was told that the account had been restricted.”.
If my memory serves me right, I think that wasn’t the entire message, and there are some parts missing, but I could be wrong about that, though I find it odd I would just send such a short message without the usual formalities.
A few days passed by again and I received the following response:

**Die Anmeldung über Ihr Nutzerkonto ist nicht mehr möglich.**
**Diese Entscheidung ist endgültig und wir bitten Sie daher Abstand von unserem Marktplatz zu nehmen. Weitere Anfragen Ihrerseits werden wir gern zur Kenntnis nehmen, jedoch nicht mehr beantworten.**
**Wir wünschen Ihnen dennoch alles Gute.**

Did I unwillingly violate any rules? After some examination of their Terms of Service, Section 2 Point 3 states:
***”Mit dem Absenden des Registrierungsformulars gibt der Nutzer ein Angebot auf den Abschluss einer Nutzungsvereinbarung mit eBay Kleinanzeigen ab, mit dem er die Geltung der Nutzungsbedingungen akzeptiert sowie die Kenntnisnahme der Datenschutzerklärung erklärt. Akzeptiert eBay Kleinanzeigen die Registrierung, erhält der Nutzer eine Bestätigungs-E-Mail mit einem personalisierten Link. Mit Zugang der Bestätigungs-E-Mail kommt zwischen eBay Kleinanzeigen und dem Nutzer ein Vertrag über die Nutzung der eBay Kleinanzeigen-Dienste (im Folgenden „Nutzungsvertrag“) zustande. I had to translate this and my understanding of the translation is that, the registration process if reviewed manually and a real person must accept my registration, only then sending the confirmation e-mail?
If that is the case, I can accept that by trying multiple times I might have confused the system or seemed to have some suspicious activity but I personally feel that their response is completely unwarranted and blown out of proportions.
They could have advised this and perhaps offered to open a process by where I could retry the registration and continue from there, confirming I was indeed a real person, but they just seemed to have shut any opportunities down immediately.

Is there any follow-up I could do? Someone I could reach out to perhaps, again, and try to appeal the ban? I’m sure I could send them as many messages as I want but as they state, they won’t warrant a reply.

I was suggested to try with another e-mail address and let it sit after they claim to have sent the confirmation e-mail, and not to try multiple times after if I haven’t received it.

**TL;DR:**
I tried to register with Kleinanzeigen, but for some reason the confirmation email never arrived.
Waited a couple of days.
Tried again, this time it did arrive.
I clicked to confirm the email. Success.
Went to the website, input login credentials and immediately got a notification saying that my account had been restricted. I hadn’t even logged in once. Ever.
So I send them an email asking what the issue was. And this is their reply.
