Customer gave this to my neighbor. Says it’s from Poland, any idea where from? And is the label underneath Polish? Thank you

  1. The label 🏷️ gives me a hint of “socialist” period.

First the price that was coming from the manufacturer, second this was a normal thing to put on goods in all socialist countries in that time.

Unfortunately it’s hard to read the date on the stamp.

If anyone has a different opinion I would be curious to read.

  2. That’s Cepelia stuff. Handmade in Warsaw, sold en masse in store with folklore inspired trinkets ‘Cepelia’.

Not sure if they are still around.

    Yarp, it is.

Warsaw, duh. The particular manufacture eventually became “<<Kanon>> Spółdzielnia Pracy Wytwórców Rękodzieła Ludowego i Artystycznego w Warszawie” until it was dissolved in 2004.
