  1. Merseyside Police have done a cracking job of securing a conviction in a relatively short space of time.

Another vile scumbag off the streets.

  2. I did not read many articles about this case, but the ones i did did not lay out a lot of evidence against him beside the testimony of an ex girlfriend.

However, this is all explained by this :

“In a separate trial, a man has admitted to driving Cashman away from an address, where he fled after the shooting last August, and disposing of his clothing.

Paul Russell, 41, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender at Liverpool Crown Court last October. The media were prevented from reporting his plea until the conclusion of Cashman’s trial.”

  3. Attempted murder with a firearm means he’ll probably get 20-30 years just for that -https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/crown-court/item/attempted-murder-2/

Murder carries a life sentence, using a firearm to commit it will mean the starting minimum will be 30 years -https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/FINAL-Murder-sentencing-leaflet-for-web1.pdf

I bet he gets at least 40 years before he can apply for parole. Whatever he gets, he’ll be an old man by the time he can apply.

  4. Not that I want the guy to play his cards right, but I just can’t believe he went into this thinking _”Yup full blown denial is the right option here”_. Hell I can’t believe a lot about this case.

  5. Glad he’s behind bars. But how can he be convicted of murder if his intended target was someone other than the girl he killed? Doesn’t a murder conviction requiring proving an intent to kill someone?

  6. His reply to being arrested was “I haven’t committed no offence what youse are talking about”

The old double negative… Sounds like a full and frank admission, your honour.

  7. Uttery scum bag. Hope it’s a 30-40 year stretch atleast!

Just another reason why weed should be made legal, get it out the hands of utter worst cunts like this.

  8. Hitman! Hitman! Hitman!
    Terrorized the community for years.
Coward. F the people that protected him and f his family
Jury renewed the faith in humanity. Great job, and let’s not forget, witnessA a heroine 🦸‍♀️

  9. Absolutely fuck the bloke, no question. Deserves 100 years.

However, how did they get a conviction for murder as opposed to manslaughter? I ask because it’s an interesting point of law.

Is it because he was attempting with intent to murder SOMEBODY when shooting the gun so that intent gets transposed even though he didn’t originally intend to kill Olivia?

I always thought it was potentially risky to put a murder charge on him as opposed to manslaughter based on original intent, just in case he wasn’t found guilty.

  10. The ex partner is a hero, I’m disappointed there’s so much online slander of her when she seems to only be guilty of a shit taste in men. The reward should be for her and Olivia’s family, i don’t think she did it for the money but life costs money and they all have to rebuilt their lives now.
