Turun tuomiokirkko from when I was in Turku over Christmas. Looking forward to being back in this wonderful city soon. Any Turku date-night recommendations?

We loved Gustavo. The staff were very gracious and food was excellent.
Lamb pasta from Blanko is top tier.
Also Kuori is superb if you prefer vegetarian stuff, WG wok for vegetarian Vietnamese food with excellent price quality ratio.
Surutoin. Mostly beer.
Well, one pizza place in market hall got to top 100 in the world (37th?). My favourite restaurants where you can get a table (so, not Kaskis) are Nomad (amazing pasta, good service) and Kakolan Ruusu (great Finnish food, good athmosphere).
Di Trevi, Ekblom and Smör are wonderful.
Who the fuck calls Turku a wonderful city?
I would suggest a group evening out. Preferably not of the pricey kind though, since I’m a poor poor student 😀
How’s about it?
Bar toimisto👌
As an American, I’m so jealous of those lucky enough to live in Finland!
Hieno
Delhi Darbar for Indian Food, or Yangtse for Chinese. Both are superb food next to University and Tuomiokirkko allowing nice walk on riverside afterwards
Restaurant Karu Izakaya had really good sushi and Japanese/asian fusion. Enjoyed the tasting menu last summer.
If you like vegetarian food then Kuori is good.
For good beers I go to Teerenpeli.
For a “Fun” eating experience I go to pincho nation.
My all time favorite is Karu, it’s Japanese restaurant and I bit pricey so I only go for that for special occasions, but look forward to it every time ☺️
Go to Tinatuoppi and play Kulta Jaska
Nobi has good food and excellent views
Panimoravintola Koulu for self-brewery beer and cool atmosphere.
I like Rioni. If you want to visit a cafe, you could try Café Qwensel for its authentic old building. For drinks, you could try Walo Rooftop Bar for the views. Fontana is also popular.
Pub Niska, best pizza place located next to the river Aura
Nomad Food&Wine!
A nice restaurant near the city center, with an international feel as most waiters are people who aren’t native Finns, gives the restaurant a great atmosphere and feel!
The Tasting Room is a wonderful wine bar and they have good wine tastings.
It’s a handsome old church.
I love how in our big Parish churches or Cathedrals are called **Judgement Church** in Finnish. The naming kind of stuck because church was a weekly gathering place where most of the local people would go and knew where it was so public trials were commonly held there. The local big church was also usually the largest building in the local area when Finland was a pretty much a farming society, so the building would fit many people indoors.
Depends on what you like and your budget. The tasting menu at Karu Izakaya is pretty damn good, but at the higher end cost wise, especially with the wine package.
