Turkey’s parliament set to vote on Finland’s NATO bid

  1. who cares? the carpet bargaining is back at the table. they will most likely vote no and this shit show will continue. tbh id be surprised if the result would be positive. just ignore the baby hitler and its minions.

  2. Watching the live broadcast of Turkish parliament right now. It’s the next item on the agenda, and the discussion should start maybe around 20:00 Finnish time after the fast-ending dinner break on Ramadan.

    Current item being discussed is “Law on the Granting of Honor Pensions for Patriotic Service to Those Who Have Been Awarded the Independence Medal”.

    Discussions on each item is taking a really long time. Not sure why, as the will of the governing party seems to be just rubber-stamped after each discussion. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they retire the session until tomorrow after the current item. In that case, Finnish NATO ratification vote would be the first item on the agenda tomorrow and would probably take place around 15:00 Finnish time Friday. Otherwise, it will be today after presumably a short discussion, as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of opposition to the ratification.
