The article doesn’t mention this, but at the same time five other politicians, activists and journalists were sentenced as well, all getting 14, 15, 16 years.
Unfortunately Belarus is going to stay a dictatorship for a very long time. Long after that old fart Lukashenko will go to hell. Russia won’t allow a democracy there since it’s to dangerous for their own regime – it can inspire such ideas inside Russia.

Wasn’t he already imprisoned all this time since the protests in Belarus started?
>opposition leader’s husband
An ironic twist of fate. Tikhanovskaya used to be just an “opposition leader’s wife” when Sergey was jailed, and now it’s reversed.
I hope they will be freed earlier.
Hit him back and hit him where it hurts.
The strength of Tikhanovskaya is unbelievable. A nation couldn’t wish for a stronger president then her.
Fuck lukashenko. His downfall can not come soon enough.
But… she’s the president…
Aaand the hate is just growin’ all across the countries will lead to fullfill my very early dreams about global happenings.
Ladies and getleman, get ready to rumble, don’t hesitate about to be prepared for the next world disaster, which is war between societies.
Good luck to all the survivors and never forget those names who put on a list on critical times of death.
Yes, this will happen, closer and earlier than might I thought.
Once again: Don’t forget the cesaroman leaders who allowed and indicated all the happenings.

China
Turkey
Russia
and now a little bit of Bel.
It was a pleasure to be here for a so little amount of my personal time.
Why doesn’t European Union bring Lukashenka to International Court and charge him with crimes against humanity?
One has to wonder what exactly going on with Europe’s leaders. For the “Arab” states, the leaders say, attack on one is an attack on all.
But the leaders in Europe are passively looking the other way, while democracy and civil society is being threatened in Belarus, while new attempts at genocide are being pursued in Bosnia and Herzgovina, and while parts of Ukraine and Georgia are under war crime occupation.
That’s out of order to say the very least
Just shoot him someone (I mean Lukashenko not someone else)
