So the turist session is here and i think we need a bot that posts posts usefull links like [113 app](https://norskluftambulanse.no/hjelp113/), [yr](https://www.yr.no/en) and [Norgeskart](https://www.norgeskart.no/) / [hvor?](https://www.kartverket.no/til-lands/kart/hvor-appen) apps, to posts that have either the travel advice, or hiking & camping flairs.
this subreddit is often used as a turistoffice and i think having a bot automaticly post those links and maybe others that deal with public transport would be usefull for the majority of turists that come here seeking advice on how to spend their time here in Norway.

Or a bot that automatically silences the “check my (completely ridiculous) itinerary!” posts.
Could this not be solved with a pinned post? «Visiting Norway? Read this!»
And auror forecast
This video would be really helpfull to link to aswell.

Ahhh season! I was struggling to figure out why you said session as that is something entirely different lol.
other than that, I think a bot would be very usefull. But preferably ones only summoned by a command as bots can get quite out of hand when they trigger on keywords. (looking at you Alpaca bot)
Typical self-centered southrons. The tourist season is ending.
Also add varsom.no
The mods can talk about this, if people think it would be useful. But based on my observations, bots are generally unwelcomed on subs; they tend to get downvoted into oblivion; and based on the reactions to the automod on this sub, no one reads the bot’s message.
We have a wiki page that we can point people to and put more info on, but the same problem pops up – no one reads the wiki page. Further, most posters want crowd-sourced “up-to-date” info “not something from month(s) ago.”
This sub has rule 6, but it’s not an out-right ban on posts about travel so much as asking for more information from people than “I’m coming to Norway, what should I see?” That is to say, that we allow travel posts (after discussion with the community), but that we don’t want low-effort posts about travel.
The mods try to keep up with these posts and remove the low-effort, often repeated posts, but we are only human. Furthermore, as we’ve mentioned with other posts in the past, when we’re on the fence we tend to be more lenient than strict and will look at community engagement (ie: if people are commenting).
Tourist season
I wish we could just ban them all together. They bring nothing of value.
