The New Millennium Hungarian Protestant church in Timisoara/Temesvar, Romania. What do you guys think of it?

  1. I like the brutalist style very much, but looks like to be a compromise between brutalist and more conventional. Could use more volume and more conrete IMO, but not looking bad at all…
    EDIT: Just spotted the commercials on the front, WTF?

  2. Instead of affordable housing and helping people in need, we are building book clubs. Honestly, very disappointing.

    EDIT: The Church should be a pioneer in advocating for the poor, for the people in need, for the vulnerable. Yet, look around.

    That money should have gone to feeding people who can’t even afford to live, motherfuckers.

  3. I saw it in person. It’s megalomanic. I think the money for making it could be spent in hospitals or classrooms. It’s just Fidesz virtual signaling “mélymagyarság”.

  4. Considering how the MAJORITY of the hungarian churches were destroyed after 1920 by the following romanian governments, its a nice thing but not that much to rebuild just a few. The local jews did not even get most of their houses and belongings back, even by today, their courtcases are still open…

    And as far as i know, this one was also financiad by hungary, not by romania itself…

  5. That y’all are welcome I paid for that shit, even though I didn’t want to. So yeah, hope it collapses when it’s empty and nobody gets hurt.

  6. Budapest (és az ország) tele van hajléktalannal

    * lipótmező / mentális egészség infrastruktúra (vissza) építése helyett
    * megfizethető bérlakások építése helyett
    * pénzügyileg nehéz helyzetben élő családosok megsegítése helyett

    erre a beton miafenére jutott pénz, igazán szimbolikus a magyar kormány antikrisztusi működésére. Én csak a románokat sajnálom hogy ilyen beton és acél szemfájdalmakkal szemetelik tele a városaikat.

    Gondolom vasárnaponként kong az ürességtől.
