For or against electric scooters for rent? This is the question that Parisians of legal age who registered on the electoral rolls of the French capital will be able to answer.
The popular consultation, which will take place this Sunday, will determine the future of these electric vehicles in the city, one of the first to open up to this personal mobility market.
The mayor, Anne Hidalgo, has said loud and clear that she wants to ban them because she considers them dangerous, environmentally unfriendly and a source of conflict in the public space.
I am really curious about the result, these scooters, as annoying as they may be, are a really good alternative to traveling in a big city.
Get rid of the for rent ones but allow people who own them to use them as anyone willing to invest that money are more likely doing it for the environment or because they need it for commuting
Why adapt if you can ban?
All while pulling down your collective pants and spreading your cheeks to EVs.
Scooter is the best way to see Paris as a visitor, bar none.
At least everyone with a smartphone can take the rental scooter for a ride. I can’t take your fucking private car that’s half-blocking my sidewalk. Not a single one of the millions of inhabitants of Paris can… only you. Talk about a waste of space.
