Has his own license plates, puts the flag on the hood and then proceeds to have himself driven around by a single chauffeur who [sometimes has a side hustle of driving schoolchildren home in the president’s car.](https://www.mbl.is/frettir/innlent/2017/04/10/gudni_th_skutladi_strakunum_heim/) No security, no convoy, no priority in traffic. It isn’t unheard of being stuck next to him in traffic. It’s possibly the least stressful job in the country.
This is actually the 2nd car ever imported to Iceland, that’s why it has 2 on the license plate
I think it’s fine that THE elected by the people to represent them as their maximum legal authority uses a luxury car. May be representing with that the reality of the country’s society or it’s desired aspirations of progress and their refined style or good taste for quality stuff.
Details say a lot of the country so I think it’s positive because he is the maximum representative of Iceland in the world. With permission of Björk, of course.
