Have any of you heard of TEPPO work based basic education? My son’s school is offering it next year, and I haven’t been able to find much information online in terms of how it affects vocational/college outcomes. I haven’t ever been involved in a similar program and I am hoping to hear the experiences of others so my son and I can make a more informed decision about it.

what do you mean by this? It apparently started in 2019, and I’m not sure of the extent they could do it during covid, so there might not be that much data yet. Most of the TET-jobs are (used to be) pretty basic, so I’m not sure how good it is terms of actual career guidance. It could help with summer job prospects and also help practice workplace skills such a showing up on time etc.

  2. This is a short-term work immersion program where middle school aged students go to a job site and or office for one or two weeks.

they then return to the classroom and present their findings on the work site experience.

How well did the job meet or exceed their previous expectations, did the work experience change their minds about pursuing a career in the job, etc. Will the student seek this employment in the future. etc
