You know the countries fucked when someone has to do a legal challenge to stop the govt from drowning people in the Channel.
Lol why waste money on this? There’s no earthly scenario where the french will put uo with this anyway.
Those provisions are nothing but domestic posturing. Just like all the talk on article 16 on the NIP.
It’s been clear since like august that the UK would roll over..
But somehow the english are STILL not accepting the reality of this government despite all the evidence..
So what would be the alternative to stop these migrants flooding the country uncotrollably? Do you feel like it’s your responsibility to accept anyone and everyone who comes here illegally purely for their own economic benefit?
Save them from the water, put them on a plane and fly them back to country of origin. Illegal immigration shouldn’t be a political issue, it’s simply unfair and utterly disrespectful to those skilled workers seeking actual work in the UK as opposed to those arriving illegally with no opportunities to integrate efficiently.
We have an an obligation to save people from drowning. Absolutely. but beyond that the UK has no obligation to allow illegal immigration, there are official processes that asylum seekers can go through to gain access to the UK. People need to use those channels.
And before you say it isn’t illegal immigration, you should refer to a map, in order to get to the UK you have to pass a dozen safe countries, if your aim was to escape war, you would have done so
Immigration is not a bad thing, I’m not anti immigration, but it needs to be managed properly, as, we are a small island with a fragile system
