Hello everyone!
Curious question…but why are second hand electronics so expensive? So many times have I been into SPR Kontti or one of the many flea markets or even [Tori.fi](https://Tori.fi) and see those products with such high asking prices.
I don’t mind paying a good price for a good product but second hand with no warranty, obviously used and still veeeery close to the RRP? This doesn’t make sense to me.

(Older) People are just unaware how valuable their things are. A -09 28″ Sony tv is in someones eyes worth 100e when in reality the value is close to 0e
Either people don’t have realistic ideas of what used things should cost or they’re hoping that someone is ignorant enough to go for it. They may very well not find any takers.
It’s quite common in order to make room for haggling and bargaining.
Just send them a message telling them that you’ll pick the item on the same day for half the price or whatever and that might just work. Costs you nothing to do so.
Try giving something up for free or sell for 10€ on Tori. That’s why.
Depends what you wanna buy. Spr/kierrätyskeskus stuff is usually market priced, based on internet prices. Old cameras, hifi and other products that don’t come obsolete by age, it makes sense kinda? On the other hand, sometimes you can find stuff really cheap. I don’t know what you’re buying or what countrys prices you are comparing with, but those market prices are pretty much the same all around the globe (ebay etc).
Electronics are already expensive when new, and when people sell used electronics, they want to get at least a third or quarter of the money invested in the equipment back through the second-hand sales. I have even met people who are upset that the value of all objects does not increase as the object ages, in which case it could be sold for more money than was spent when buying it. But since I don’t talk much with sellers when they offer something that is even slightly cheaper than new one, I don’t know how many second-hand sellers of used goods are like this.
For computer stuff you are better off looking at enthusiast forums. No idea about other electronics.
People in Finland very much overvalue their junk.
Do you have any examples?
