Another way to syphon off tax payers money to Tory friends and donors? I’m sure their will be lots of lucrative service contracts needed to provide food and the necessary services to make this happen.
Can’t we just find a proper place to house those in need instead of this it realy shouldn’t be this difficult to look after people
I could be a great minister in this government, i am surprised they haven’t invited me yet, as a kid I used to gather all the leaves from the lawn and pile them into the back of the garden so they would be out of sight, but not taken care of. This is just like that, but with humans. Pile them into container ships maybe. See? That is a free idea. Next one is 6k/day
Putting them back on a boat has a nice circularity to it, right?
This is full on, batshit, pugnaciously stupid. Why are we not assessing the people that enter this country claiming asylum for their skills and ability to integrate fully into society. It would create less fuss, help boost the economy and if it is done right would help repair the very damaged international reputation of this country.
I am pretty sure it was considered barbaric to house anybody including prisoners in ships offshore and the practise was abandoned quite some time ago…

Looks like refugees can be accommodated in “rudimental” (whatever that means) barges and ships
So their answer to stopping boats is to give them boats? Seems more like a start-up.
There needs to be a law on how these places are owned and managed. On the surface it looks good but you can bet it’ll go into a Tory’s back pocket.
