Hi everyone, this is one of my first times using Reddit so I’m sorry if this is not in the right place. (If so, please redirect me!)

I am not moving to Finland but I am going to study in Finland for one semester this fall. I am an American college student. I am committed and I am going to leave in August.

I have ADHD and I need medication for my studies. After doing some research and also consulting my home institution, I found out that Vyvanse (listed as Lisdexamfetamine) is legal and available in Finland. (Which is good.)

As I was looking at the available dosages, I saw something about “Marketed status” and (in the image above) it says “Not Marketed: 10, 30” for all (or a lot of the dosages) I’ve seen. It’s confusing and I don’t know if it’s ONLY available in 10mg and 30mg or if these two dosages are not available.

I’ve contacted Fimea and asked them, but I have no idea when they will get back to me. Also, I asked people at my institution but they were not sure. Google was not helpful either.

If anyone can decipher this or knows if these dosages are available (particularly 40mg) please let me know. Thank you! Also if more context is needed, please let me know. Thank you again.

  1. If you are coming for the fall semester would you not just ask your presceibing doctor to sort this out for you?

  2. You definitely need to take with your full medical history of adhd ie psychiatric evaluation of the condition and diagnosis. Otherwise you’ll not get a prescription here from any doctor without a full evaluation once again. USA prescription does not work here.

Also check from a Finnish consulate are you able to bring any medicine with you. Note that any medicine needs to be in it’s original packaging with English prescription for it on paper.
