Does anyone know when the HMRC investigation began? I’m asking out of pure cynicism.
Rich people need to pay their fair share, just another example of wealthy person exploiting loopholes.

Saint Gary such a hypocrite. Wants allthe justice and help for migrants but doesnt want to pay his tax to help those coming in thiscountry. And to say hes a freelancer is crap been working at bbc for 20 years so if thats not permanent employment what is?
Fun fact: if you’re in a partnership you pay income tax as you would on a salary, but National Insurance is charged differently: Class 2 contributions are £3.15 per week compared to 13.8% Employers NI that would be paid by a company.
Another fun fact: if you set up a partnership you don’t need to split things 50/50. You could, for example, have one partner that gets paid £30,000 and the other partner gets paid all the rest.
And the subject of this appeal: a contract with a partnership is technically a contract directly with each of the partners, so IR35 legislation doesn’t apply.
