In northern Famagusta, high school students are being taught in tents because their school is not safe enough (earthquake-wise) and today’s rain made them sit on the desks.

  4. God damn it lets just reunite and live in peace and prosperity. This is ridiculous. As a GC I’m ashamed we can’t get pass old grudges and greedy politics as if those old bastards that govern us will live long enough to even care. It’s those children and their children who will suffer.

  6. It’s ok, Tatar has assured that the new palace is flood proof. So this kind of stuff won’t be a problem for him. Just the peasants.

  7. It’s really a shame that there are people in our country that live like this. I look at those kids faces and all I see are young Cypriots, being denied the dignity and right to a proper education that we should all be entitled to as the people of this island. Our country could be a paradise if only we stopped dragging it down to hell with greed, stupidity, corruption and division 😔

  8. Surely there is a building one of the banks lent to
    Much money against and is now the owner of fiat could be used to support the community and thus schools.

    Not saying the banks are the problem here but given the history over the past 20 years they could be a part of the solution.

  14. Now, thats the temporary solution. What else do you expect? İf they wouldnt put tent , You will be complaining about how children are being educated in a dangerous environment. So that’s what they could for Right now.
