Hi everyone, I’m traveling to Norway with a friend in July, can’t wait! I’d love your opinion on my preliminary itinerary, whether it’s doable logistically, and whether I should add something or subtract anything.
We’re planning on renting a car for the Bergen to Bergen loop. Is it necessary to rent a car in Stavanger?
Also, how much of a “must-do” is the Flam railway?
We’re both avid and experienced hikers, so if there’s any day hike on this the itinerary that is a must-do, please let me know!

Yeah the buses don’t depart as often as you’d like.. Hike in Kjerag for instance? You arrive in the morning by train, then take the bus to Kjerag, then Hike for about 5 hours and then take the bus back. When does the bus depart? Rent a car or join a group hike.
I would recommend having more time in Stavanger and Bergen. Beatiful cities in their own right
