Sadly for many nations like mine there was no third choice.

Against [Franz] Papen, Hitler, [Ernst] Thälmann. Aka Against reactionaries, against fascists, against communists.
Rip İsmet İnönü. If the Soviets hadn’t taken the visiting Turkish delegation to the museum for 15 days to sign a joint defense agreement, Turkey would have been a part of the war as well. Whenever the delegation talked about the common defence agreement, they took it to another museum, to the another opera.
We were the original nazbols 😎
In those years, there were no weapons and equipment to fight in Turkey, people could not even find bread to eat. Turkey was still trying to pay off the remaining debts from the Ottoman Empire. This may seem like an exaggeration, but how could we fight with weapons that we don’t have when people are starving?
Moreover, Türkiye, within its power, helped many Jews to get rid of the Nazi oppression.n.
God bless İnönü… Thanks to him, Turkey didn’t suffer that terrific war compared to others.
at bottom right it says “between crosseyed and blind people some people can see the truth”
