So i read today in 20minutes about this garden getting soon destroyed because a of a neighbour bringing the problem up to cantonal court, and as i consider it a malicious intent i’d like to ask you, the swiss community, what you think about and if we should save it by all means, personally i consider we should.
you can buy it with your own money and put it somewhere to your own likeing. They clearly didnt adhere to the building code. Imagine if everyone starts doing that, then we have a situation like in eastern turkey. Not sure why you want to go to court for a clear violation of the rules.
The petty part of me would pick up a new hobby: Farm animals. Loud ones and stinky ones. The neighbors want farming? Let them get farming next door.
I can’t consider that as construction, for me it’s just some nice landscaping, like putting some rocks and flower in a garden.
I personally have a RC crawler area in my garden, some rocks, two bridges, a miniature waterfall and a few little trees. It’s much prettier than the pile of brambles and weeds that used to be
I’m confused. Did they build a miniature wonderland in public space? Or is this more like a parcelle garden? I think it’s a cute idea, but maintaining an outdoor miniature railway seems quite difficult.
That story id so sad, they get about 12k to pay because that.
While on the page across you have an article about some girl drunk on a e-scoot with 2gram in blood, that spat and insulted police officers and get less than 1,5k fine.
Swiss justice is a joke.
I ask chatGPT about that, here is its answer, considering it as a sculpture may be the way to go:
“The answer depends on the regulations in force in your canton and municipality. In general, agricultural zones are subject to strict rules in terms of urban planning and land use, in order to ensure the protection of agriculture and the environment.
In some cases, sculptures may be considered as constructions or installations and may therefore require prior authorization by the competent authorities. If your sculpture is considered as an installation or a construction, you may need to obtain authorization before keeping it in an agricultural zone.
However, if your sculpture is considered as a work of art within the meaning of the Federal Act on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights, it may benefit from specific protection as an artistic creation, even in an agricultural zone. In this case, you can try to obtain a specific authorization to keep it.
Therefore, it is recommended to inquire with the competent authorities of your canton or municipality to find out if you can keep your sculpture in an agricultural zone and if you need to obtain a specific authorization.”
What is this, a railway for ants?
Yess i think we should!
Depending on how big it’s is I would say yes, if someone made a big railroad model it should be kept.
Gelbe Westen! Ankleben!
I’d love to have a neighbour with such a nice railway in the garden. I can’t imagine how bitter you’re life must be to be annoyed by something like this. The dude has to destroy what he built in the last 30 years. I could not reconcile this with my conscience
Why on earth don’t people mind their own business? It’s a damn model train, let the guy be
The worst part is that it was judged that destroying the train set was disproportionate.
And the neighbours went out of their way to appeal the decision in the Cantonal court.
Imagine being this petty. This makes my blood boiling.
Can’t it be protected in the name of cultural interest or something?
That’s super cool and I’d argue on the same level as having some beautiful flowers in your garden – and infinitely better than just a lawn.
It harms nobody. Hope they can keep it.
It’s maybe me, but I can’t find the source of the publication in the thread. Can OP give a pointer to the source plz?
Wouldn’t this be also r/buenzli material?
