Wie bedenkt dit? De stagiair om 3u ‘s nachts op café?

  1. “Voor de eerste 3 uur…”
    Na 2 uur en 30 minuten: 0,70 per kwartier

    Ja maar he, wat als ik 2 uur en 45 minuten wil parkeren??

    Wedden dat, als je hen belt voor meer info, dat ze er zelf geen antwoord gaan op hebben omdat ze het zelf niet meer snappen?

  2. Ik had juiste hetzelfde gevoel. Kunt veel beter op de Minckelersparking gaan staan, stukken goedkoper.

  3. lets say i go for an afternoon of shopping… just parking my car would cost me 11,2 euro..? holy fuck im happy to not have a car sometimes…

  4. Dus:
    1u en 1m parkeren => 5 aangesneden kwartieren * 1,10 euro = 5,5 euro in totaal

    1u en 46m parkeren => 8 aangesneden kwartieren * 0.60 euro = 4,8 euro in totaal

  5. Valt nog mee, in NL heb je ook parkings met van die crazy tarief structuren en periodes van 43 minuten of 57 minuten of dat soort rare shit.

  6. I looked into it, and I think I’ve found a plausible answer.

    Looking at parking in Ladeuze on the [Mypark website](https://www.mypark.be/nl/parking/parking-ladeuze/) (the company managing the parking lot) shows very different and much higher rates. But there they just go up, none of that weird up and down stuff.

    Doing the math, it looks like the city is paying part of the ticket, to make things less expensive for people wanting to shop in Leuven. *How much* they pay also goes up every 15 minutes but at a *different rate* then the parking price goes up, which results in the pattern you’re seeing.

    For example, after 1 hour the price is 2.90 of which the city pays 1.8 so you pay 1.10. After an hour and fifteen minutes the price is 4 of which the city pays 3.1 so you pay 0.9.

    At every step the price *and* the amount the city pays go up, but because they do so in different increments the price *you* pay fluctuates.

    If I had to guess why, the page I linked from Mypark was last updated 31/1/2023 and was likely adjusted for inflation. I bet the city *hasn’t* updated how much they pay yet, and that’s why the total is so weird.

    Edit: math on Monday is hard.

  7. Het voordeligste lijkt mij om elke 1u50 minuten de wagen even uit de parking te rijden en opnieuw binnen te rijden

  8. I had a question once from a maths teacher that was like; We’re going with the whole family of 7 to the restaurant…. How much is the cost for 5 men?

    I’m like.. What do the other 2 starve or something? What happened with everyone going to the restaurant?! lmfao. (i know the prompt but jesus how it was worded. I’m still laughing at it today.)

  9. If they want to change the prices for every aditional 15 minutes they could have done it like this:

    – Tot 15 min: gratis
    – 15-30 min : 1,40
    – 30-45 min : 2,10
    – 45-60 min : 2,90
    – 1u-1u15: 4,00
    – 1u15-1u30: 4,90
    – 1u30-1u45: 5,70

    Edit: made a mistake first time

  10. As a programmer, I can picture the meeting…

    Sales guy: our payment system is super flexible.

    Parking guy: ok here’s what we want

    Sales guy: oh eeeeeasy preasy, right Jonas?

    Programmer: Well erm…

    Sales guy: See, here’s already got the whole code figured out. We’ll have it up in one day

    Parking guy: You guys know agile, right?

    Sales guy: we know all programming languages, trust me!
