Why the fuck did he say that? Think he got mortgage holders and renters mixed up. Judges hace very little discretion in these rental cases.
Somehow it’ll be the opposition’s fault that he got his facts wrong
Oh no, Leaky. Not again…
> I think people often mix up notices of termination with evictions.
He’s not wrong on this though, folks posting here daily about “being evicted” ~ nope your tenancy is being terminated, there’s a massive difference.
Smarmy rich wanker talking bollocks. Strewth!
You know a politician is done for when you get news of the errors in his statements before you get news of his statements.

Tbh, both FLAC and Varadkar are wrong.
I interpreted his statement as “we fucked up but can’t back down or reverse our decision because then we would be admitting we fucked up. So here’s an illegal way of not getting evicted, simply ignore the notice of eviction. Simple”
He’s a shite-talking cretin.
The Taoiseach mentioned ‘The Free Legal Advice Centres’ (FLAC) as some kind of miracle catch all for housing issues, along with very dubious interpretations of the law.
FLAC were already under immense pressure, they didn’t need Varadkar shining a light on them for all the wrong reasons.
Morning Ireland (RTE Radio 1) had a FLAC spokesperson on this morning (30 March) and they seemed flabbergasted by the extra attention..
I’ve voted FG in the past but I’d be hard pushed to support any party that has this smarmy bastard as leader. His daring the opposition to collapse the government yesterday was pure Toryism.

I will take my legal advice from Reddit thank you very much
Fortunately, An Taoiseach has the Attorney General, The Advisory Council, State Solicitors,(approx. 300 people) and 150 support staff who serve that office at his disposal.
He doesn’t have to rely on the opinion of the Free Legal Advice Centre.
I honestly don’t know how people can support these guys
