Looking up some ancestry but this Church record from the late 1800’s is not in English plus all that fancy scrawly writing… anyone dare to crack the code?

  1. Peder Hansen Roed is my relative so I can see P. H. Roed just fine. I can read a lot of the Scandinavian docs but this one has me stumped.

  2. I dare but I might not be right.

________betjent P. H. Roed af Böllling,

    Signe? Karen Hansen af Dons.

    Gardmand Jörgen Nielsen ____ af
    Egholt, Gardmand Peder Thomsen
Skovsèn af Bölling og Ungk. Laur. (its)
    Hansen Kreng af Dons.

It is a list of titles (job or social status) and names and where they are from. The location where they are from could be like an address or a family name. I am unsure.

But as Said before. It is more likeliy Danish, based on the locations. My spontane translation would be:

    _________ civil servant/valet P. H. Roed of Böllling,

Signe? (could be a title) Karen Hansen of Dons.

    Farmer Jörgen Nielsen ____ of
    Egholt, Farmer Peder Thomsen
Skovsèn af Bölling og Batchelor Laurits (abbreviated)
    Hansen Kreng af Dons.

Betjent is a junior rank civil servant e. g. an assistant o the local Police officer (Lensmannsbetjent) a train conductor etc. The senior rank would be embetsmann e.g. Lensmann or Stasjonsmester.

I cannot figure out what kind of betjent.
