  1. Bottom pictures are from before

    Top pictures after one winter…

  2. It would be nice to finish the job with the new trees planted around.

  3. wow obniżyli cała ziemię o 10m. Ale dumny jestem z polaków wykopki

  4. I hate cars but this is actually good, I think. Cars are a must-have outside of big cities so why not make it faster and safer? Also it makes the logistics better for transportation goods etc.

  5. You should see the pedestrianization of Szczecin`s city centre. Is going full throttle and its beautiful.

  6. See I’ve been visiting periodically for as long as I can remember and I remember what my grandmother’s place was like before and after the addition of the motorways. And it’s significantly better for people to get around but it did cost one of my favourite restaurants in Ostróda though. It was always amusing when they were building a bridge one year and my dad was like nah we need to drive over that now it’s finished the next year

  7. Teraz przeznaczyć kolejne dotacje na modernizację kolei i transport publiczny (chociaż część dróg też by sie przydało naprawić)

  10. Just back from a 10 day trip to Poland. Visited Warsaw , Krakow and Zakopane. Beautiful, friendly people and Zakopane is must see! I also saw some Infra projects to connect north and south

  11. I’d rather they developed the railway more and lowered the train prices as well as returned PKSes to smaller towns

  12. I go to Poland roughly ever 3/4 years, each time I visit the infrastructure just keeps improving so much. I wish Poland also had better rail though as well

  13. Imo people don’t realise how much potential eastern/central Europe has. Definitely worth following in the next 50 years.

  14. Nice… ground elevations? 🙂 (I’m Polish and it’s impressive regardless, btw)

  15. As foreigner who has been constantly in Poland for the last decade this is actually a godsend. The amount of extreme dangerous situations because of lacking infrastructure was something you couldn’t count on one hand if you took a trip across the country.

Also the time in which all these 100s of km of highways were raised and built is i guess almost unheard of across the EU. Just compare it to romania. There is this running gag that they achieved a whopping -10km the last 10 yrs due to extreme corruption.

  16. I love how going from eastern part of Czechia to western part is generally faster through Germany and Poland. Also how Czech highways end right at the border, then you need to cross the border on some small road, and then join again on glorious Polish autobahn. Godspeed, Poland.

  17. When I rented a car in Poland for the first time, I read a bit online to know what to expect. Everyone were talking about rural roads and shitty drivers.

I drove in Poland quite a bunch of KM since then and I can say that none of this is true and it’s one of my favorite places to drive in

  18. I’ve been to Poland every year during the summer since 2014, and things were changing from year to year. Roads have become much nicer and have really cut down on travel times in many cases. For example, one trip that used to take 3.5 hours is now 2.5, and it’s about 220 km. Smoother intersections and roads bypassing city centers… love them.

Worst part was if the GPS, Google Maps, etc. was not up to date yet with the new roads, it would go berserk and yell “Recalculating!” every 20 seconds.
