Well technically Orpo didn’t defeat Marin. Kokoomus won SDP. If you are a SDP supporter, don’t be scared yet, there is a chance the parlament will be formed with both of them
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing will chance in a big way.
Now NCP attempts to form a coalition and we get a new configuration. They get yelled at for making decisions no matter what. Business as usual.
This isn’t nearly as person based as headlines seem to paint it as either. Parties reign in parliamentary elections. I’d say the biggest thing to me was how much the big three gobbled up the mid-size parties in the end.

So this is just a thought, but could all the smaller parties create a government and just leave the NCP out of it?
Like the SDP + everyone else comes up to just over 100 seats, so even an NCP+Finns Party coalition would not have enough seats to override their “majority”.
Is this gonna affect Finland association with NATO? Since it was already said that they will join tomorrow.
.. If we look with a bit longer perspective. NCP is only true pro-NATO political party in Finland. Could almost say “has ever been”. Left wing parties have generally been against joining nato. Until abouy a year a go now.
As a personal opinion .. we’re better without Sanna and SDP in government.
It’s same o same o as always, maybe a little less debt maybe not.
