Non-Finn here, what does this mean for Finland? Isn’t right-wing / conservative party bad for the working class?

  1. PS is the working class party. SDP used to be, like 20 years ago.

Sanna Marin’s SDP went too far left. They want to tax the working class more and more, and waste this tax money to nonsense.

As soon as you understand this, you will get it why PS is more and more popular. PS is actually the best choice for the tax paying middle class.

If you still don’t understand it:

    > Get over it

  2. Regardless of the specific government created after the election, the public sector in Finland is gonna experience budget cuts due to NCP’s policies, but that is so we can stop our national debt from growing. If the government ends up includong SDP, these budget cuts will propably be smaller. Some policies from for example the Finns party might make a lot of the working class happy, such as reducing gas and energy prices, even if it is not great from the climate perspective. Minority rights or ambitious climate policies are not a concern of theirs, though.

  3. To be fair, fucking the working class is the government job. It doesn’t matter which party left or right.

Sanna Marin and her leftish government fucked the nurse so hard, that now we don’t have enough nurse for many surgeries because it pushes more nurse to resign. Another example is the energy crisis, Finland only imported 5% natural gas from Russia but the electricity price jump to 6 or10 times. Energy companies invested their money into Russia and lost it, now we have to cover their loses. In this case the government let the companies fucked us good.

  4. So many people rushed to defend right wingers wirh very nonsensical arguments here.

Yes. This election will be poison for anyone earning less than average. Also working class people can expect worker union power to be reduced.

However, there is a chance that the likely right wing goverment is cabable of creating jobs better than last one. Unemployed getting a job will often beat living on social security. But I’m scared that Kok led goverment will pull the economic growth from whipping the less fortunate.

  5. I loved her, what I saw of her, mostly comments on Ukraine she made. I don’t know the other stuff. USA here. Seems like a loss to me.

  6. The working class had it bad before and they will continue to have it bad. Likely this will result in tighter immigration laws and cuts in public sector and programs to get budget into balance. There is some 10 billion euro deficit which people are worried about.
