  1. A copper that lies, the shock at this statement. The sooner they clean the force up the better. Doubt they will, but there’s always hope.

  2. I’ve always thought that anyone who commits a crime should get their sentence doubled if it makes the public less trusting of a profession that they need to be able to trust. Judges, Police officers, Doctors etc.

  3. Really paints a picture..

“Dave I’m sorry, I can’t live without you, come over… bring a bottle of wine… see you soon”

    “999 what’s your emergency?”

“My ex is outside my house and I think he’s holding a weapon”

    Mentalist

  4. Its a twisted web.

Ironic that DV commited by police on their partners have a very low clear up/conviction rate.

And along comes a convition and it turns out to be a snfu. The one time the police believe the “victim” and they get it wrong.

  5. In Germany, for example, police recruits are required to spend two and a half to four years in basic training to become an officer, with the option to pursue the equivalent of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in policing.
