If they had to choose any financial institution, BlackRock is the right one. All the stuff people used to say about Goldman Sachs political influence on countries, in 2023 is far more true of BlackRock than any other.

I find it funny that I saw this on the trending spot in Reddit and all the subreddits its trending on is just anti-capitalist subreddit’s lol. Goes to show who the main supporters for this are.
Not sure if this still falls under ‘protesting’. What a bunch of peasants.

I know that revolutionary socialism is basically illegal under anti-terrorism laws, but we wouldn’t have the European center-left tradition without the specter of revolution. Hopefully center-left policies can succeed outside of postwar European nation-state contexts.
The CEO of BlackRock France, Jean-Francois Cirelli, is a close friend of Emmanuel Macron.
He received the highest national medal, the legion d’honneur:

One of the more troubling things I read about the war in Ukraine was Larry Fink and Zelenskyy agreeing to a deal to coordinate the ‘rebuilding’ of Ukraine after the war. Pretty sure Blackrock is going to be more interested in acquiring more assets and owning as much of the land and resources as it can. Whatever is rebuilt will be rented to Ukrainians.
