I hate our political class. Scum. Utterly self-serving, witless, idiotic scum.
I could be totally incompetent for that sort of pay, at a 90% less! They’re just a feckless bunch of, greedy twats, who aren’t worth the skin on a sun-dried dog turd!!
They’re not very bright our MPs are they……..tossers
These two.. making an absolute mockery of whatever is left of our democratic society.
Big story, let’s see if it makes a splash on the BBC’s Government News Service tomorrow.
Suspect we can file this one in the “nothing will be done” bin though just like the IEA getting caught on camera selling access to Tory cabinet ministers.
This should be a special category of offence where politicians caught lobbying are paraded through their constituency naked with sell-out tattooed on their back.
MPs should make twice as much but be barred from taking any other work. It’s ludicrous that our representatives can so easily make such massive amounts of money serving other interests.
So easily and cheaply bought… I suppose it’s good news for the gold wallpaper and heated swimming pool industries, though.
Plenty of MPs would work for far less than this, so at least we finally have an MP showing corruption on par with politicians in other countries. Meanwhile, his party is making it difficult for people on benefits to get even this amount as they feel it is too much for them.
Our MPs are so susceptible to really basic fraud and corruption.
Its really scary.
How big must Kwarsi’s ego be to ask for £10000 per day? He hasnt exactly proved he’s a genius given how he crashed the economy with his budget.
The SNP are going to have a field day with this. Im a unionist but Im almost looking forward to how Stephen Flynn will skewer the Tories over this next PMQs.
…and here I am earning a shit wage, for a below inflation salary increase, and have it in my contract I can’t do a second job as it would impact my primary work.
Great system.
Top work, as ever, by Led by Donkeys.
Those two should be in prison. Tanking the pound to enrich their mates. killing off 30,000 old people in care homes for starters.
But working for with non-UK firms for profit, should be a criminal offence if not cleared by the UK Gov. In past times it would be called treason.
I really can’t understand how politicians are legally allowed to have ANY work to do with ANYTHING other than being a politician.
It seems pretty fucking simple that it would cause a conflict of interest by default.
We shout about our “democracy” but it’s not very well thought out in the end is it?
The astonishing thing is, they don’t think they have done any thing wrong and are blaming the group *Lead By Donkies* for exposing their greed!
You would have to have a heart of stone not to laugh.
Classic Eton entitlement, in his head he is still deserving of 10k a day. I wouldn’t trust this moron to cut my front garden.
So they can make in hours on a side hustle what the majority of the UK population can only accrue in the UK after years of work. That’s nice innit.
Very nice coverage of this on the BBC too, oh wait, as of writing this story is not even on there.
And yet it’s your local postman/woman, nurse, train guard, firefighter, teacher fucking the country over……
What made these tory clowns think they are worth £10,000 a DAY?
What did they offer in return?
If it’s this easy for a fake company to buy a G7 country’s politicians for such a low sum, imagine how easy Russia or China have it really knowing whose strings to pull. But apparently corruptions something that only happens in “The Global South” as the BBC would put it, this is just “chumocracy” or some other sugarcoating Britishism.
Hancock: an incompetent, lying, arse grabbing, sloppy kisser.
Kwarteng: just, useless.
If those qualities command £10k a day then fuck me, I want £10k an hour. I’m old, forgetful, somewhat ugly and have a tiny penis.
Led by Donkeys is a quite appropriate and ingenious name I’d say.
What’s painful about this is that these people won’t do anything with that money that would contribute anything positive to the society.
Imagine an engineer or a scientist getting £10k a day. they could spend that money on research, hiring people, get an idea they have up and running.
What these two would spend that money on? House like Rishi, with a heated pool? A nice car? Gamble it away in a casino? Stuff into investment fund that makes rich richer?
Sigh. I miss the days when this would have been a career ending sleaze scandal.
It was hilarious seeing Kwarteng rapidly attempting to backtrack when he realised he’d named too cheap a price.
To think people are stupid enough, too vote in this shower of shite.
You get what you voted for.
Ever get the feeling youve been cheated.
Atleast you can understand why we got brexshite.
Slugs voting for salt.
Its like some folks who go to food banks. Then they moan about Labour or Lib dems.
Then say they vote Tory, says it all really .
Tv seems to be the drug of the nation.
Anyone else notice Matt Hancock’s smug face as he tries to give off an air of respectability and seriousness?
These twats are all self serving wankers who now want to fool – well any one else really.
And yet they still remain MPs.
They have no fear of the system as they know it is there to protect them and Thier ilk.
With no written constitution it all works on the premise that MPs are a good chap.
And we just have to shrug and wait until we can kick them out and vote in someone what might not be as bad…
When the two gonks pictured are your “Top Tories”, you’re in trouble.
If anyone is confused as to why this is a bad thing that should be considered corruption then look at the case of Chris Grayling. When he was Secretary of State for Transport he [signed off a change in the law](https://news.sky.com/story/p-o-ferries-sackings-change-in-law-signed-of-by-chris-grayling-meant-p-o-didnt-need-to-tell-govt-maritime-lawyer-says-12572920) in 2018 so that the Secretary of State does not have to be notified of mass redundancies on ships registered overseas. This resulted in the mass sacking of 800 P&O workers and their replacement with agency staff and apparently made it impossible for the government to take any legal action against them.
Where it gets interesting is that P&O is owned by parent company DP World which is one of the major port and ship operators. They run what looks like a “green washing” and community investment initiative called [Go Green](https://www.dpworld.com/en/santos/sustainability/go-green) with another very large port and ship operator called [Hutchinson Port Holdings](https://green.hutchisonports.com/2016/). Hutchinson Port Holdings just so happened to employ [Chris Grayling](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-54185180) on a £100,000 a year advisory contract working seven hours a week. His role is to advise them “on its environmental strategy and its engagement with local enterprise bodies” which is an interesting choice for an MP that [“Generally voted against measures to prevent climate change”](https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/10920/chris_grayling/epsom_and_ewell/votes#environment). It’s not expressly stated but it looks a great deal like he’s being employed under the Go Green scheme with HPH on the cheques rather than DP World.
If anyone missed it. They made it clear that they were looking for political influence aka connections.
Is it just me (living in US), but the ‘impartial’ outlet, the BBC, hasn’t reported on this yet.
I’ve checked the guardian and sky news and it’s the top articles there
Why are they using their Parliamentary Offices for their personal private work?
Those offices are paid for by the tax payer for their work as an Member of Parliament whilst representing their constituents, not for some sleazy dodgy personal work.
If any other worker spent time on their side hustle at work, they would be rightfully disciplined for it.
I wish I had Kwarsi Karteng’s confidence to charge 10 grand a day for a lecture on 6th form economics
🐽 at the trough, but who is really surprised?
There are a large number of purely greed driven, self interested, talentless, entitled individuals in parliament (certainly NOT serving the people), it just happens to be that the Tories are disproportionately stuffed full of them.
This is such a potential easy win for starmer. Just needs to announce that under labour, all mps would be banned from having any second jobs or receiving payment for any other work at all, save where a minimum is required to retain professional qualifications (e.g nurses ). Taking the corruption out of politics would be massively popular with the public, if not with the mps.
They should have posed as **north** Korean rather than South, just so we can get an idea of just how unscrupulous and greedy these villains are.
Defending yourself by saying that you stayed within the rules does nothing more than show that the rules should be changed.
Ban second jobs for MPs, ban active investments, if an MP has a meeting with any corporation it should be on record, and that MP should not be allowed to vote on any laws that could give said corporation an advantage. Perhaps then we can stop our government being bought by big businesses. Also stop all oil subsidies now.
I wish they would do their actual day job with some skill and care instead of spending their time ruining the country while trying to get rich.
