  1. Ireland is a country in a strategic position and should be able to defend these interests, but it should also monetise this.

    Whether that is as part of NATO, I’m not so sure.

  2. Seriously, why would we join NATO? We’re surrounded on all sides by friendly countries that are already members. We’re basically under their umbrella already without any of the drawbacks of increasing military spending or risk of involvement in foreign wars

  3. Theyre really pushing this hard, martin was at a debate a few weeks back with some american cold war hack who was pushing this idea and martin is now doing his little proprosal to the country on our neutrality even though all the polls done have shown we dont want it
